.... friends who laugh --- heartily and as if that's the stupidest thing they have ever heard -- when I mention another person's negative feedback.
... the inspiration to change the direction of my desk in my office... it's gonna make me much more comfortable in there.
... an evening with friends.

... good friends who drive my tipsy ass around... and call to make sure I'm ok.

... the fact that I'm very calm about it right now.

...being able to ride my new bicycle to and from work
...having enough disposable cash to buy myself a decent bicycle
...hearing from a couple of old friends in the past few days
...finishing a bear of a story I'd been working on for two weeks
...getting to combine a business trip with a trip to see my mom
...my sister-in-law's decision to join me on the trip with her two darling kids
