grateful it's the weekend

I'm grateful to be finished with another set of grades. I'm glad I got to see Crash tonight. I'm happy I had a good meal with friends, and I may even have a new, yummy recipe for soup. I'm happy I got to talk with a close friend on the phone today.

Part of me feels like my gratitude entries are repetitive and uninteresting. It's not the best or most interesting thing to read. However, I guess that's not the point, unlike some of my other writing. It's simply for me to reflect on what I'm grateful for in life. Right now, I'm grateful for movies and yummy soup recipes. More importantly, I think the gratitude journal is really helping me develop and maintain a postiveness that I've never been able to maintain for long periods of time.

So... I'm gonna keep it up, even if it does border on sappy sometimes.
